A scent will last longer on people who have an oily skin type compared to those with dry skin, since fragrances hold better on naturally moisturised skin. If you have a dry skin type, we recommend that you apply a matching solid cream with the fragrance or use unscented cream oil paired with the perfume.PH levels (quantity of acidity in our skin) vary slightly between people. Our individual levels of PH will determine how each ingredient in a fragrance will react and smell. Many factors, such as hormonal changes, stress, medications and your diet, sometimes change how a perfume will smell on your skin.

The Top note is the first impression of a perfume when it has been applied to the skin. This scent usually lingers between 5 to 30 minutes. The Middle note, or the heart note, will take 10 to 30 minutes to completely mature on the skin. It is generally composed of floral and Oriental fragrance aroma notes. The Base Notes last the longest on the skin because of their high molecular weight. Therefore, they are used as fixatives to help slow the evaporation to hold all the fragrance power.

Keep your perfume in a dry, cool place away from heat. A perfume bottle with its lid off can be placed in the refrigerator. A perfume bottle with a cap evaporates faster than a sprayer. Please Note – all perfumes will eventually fade over time.

The ideal activator for fragrance is warm skin, where there is good blood circulation - indeed, the heat contributes to intensifying the aroma of perfume. Fragrances should be applied in different body pulse points, such as on the inside of the wrists, elbows and knees and behind the ear lobes.

These appellations determine the strength of the perfume; generally, perfume oil has a 15-25% concentration of natural base oil.
