Champa Attar is extracted from the spicy floral essence of a most exotic lush flower known as Frangipani or Champaca (Michelia Champaca). With a fragrance similar to Magnolia, this rare tree flower is only found in India, and is believed to blossom only during the night or early dawn.
The deeply sweet and intensely floral scent of the beautiful golden blossoms that spread in the area surrounding the tree was thought to attract snakes, hence its very common name "Nag Champa" ("nag" is the Indian word for "snake").
It has long been said to be an aphrodisiac, and it makes the most beautiful perfume, conjuring up romance and magical places, as well as inspiring joy and devotion.
